Vista Statement
The more money you have, the more people there are who want to tell you what to do with it. Choosing the right financial advisor from among the teeming hordes eager for your business can be a daunting task. If we don’t have what you need, we go find it. If we can’t find it, we create it – whatever it takes to assist in maximizing your financial potential.
Positioning Statement
When you compare Kentor Company to its “competition,” you quickly realize that shallow advice and flashy new financial products won’t stand up next to the intellectual capital Kentor Company provides. This thorough team of thoughtful strategists and problem solvers is a step above the rest, and this is the difference that makes these comparisons laughable at best.
Your Story
When Michael Kentor and Marla McClain founded Kentor Company, they brought a wealth of knowledge to the table. Michael’s experience in law, securities, and insurance partnered with Marla’s work in financial, investment, tax, and insurance strategies laid the groundwork for the contemporary Kentor Company that channels all of these services into this unique financial strategy firm.
This multidisciplinary prowess made possible the bird’s eye view approach necessary for Kentor Company to become such capable problem solvers, able to have difficult conversations, see the long game, and give strong decisive advice to appreciative, more successful clients.
With even more professional and community experience spread out through the boutique firm, it’s the life experience that brings patience and perspective to every interaction. Awareness of the highs and lows, ebbs and flows, and potential risks to avoid make Kentor Company’s advice more meaningful and gives clients the valuable key to a transformative financial strategy: a long-lasting partnership.
Current Brand
The Kentor Company’s brand is expressed in a few specific, intentional ways. Though they’re looking for a complete overhaul, these pieces do show an intention and focus to detail that is important for a sophisticated, subtle brand.
Current Brand Fine Print
The current brand presence is communicated via:
- Modern sharp logo with darker mustard yellow (sometimes accompanied by “Financial Strategists” or “Strategies for Wealth Accumulation & Preservation” in script)
- The Kentor Company metal signage logo behind reception
- A 9-year old website with mustard, dark gray, and wallpaper textures, simple navigation, only small callouts to important information, and a dated style. Noteworthy elements include thoughtful copy with callouts and inquisitive surrealist black and white photos
- A leave-behind brochure with similar style and content of the site. Notable elements include transparent overlay pages, well-printed personnel inserts, and a mix of traditional serif body copy with modern sans-serif callouts and emphasis
- Matching black and white photos in their office at the historic Norwood Tower (Austin’s first skyscraper — “The Castle in the Sky”)
The Next Chapter
The Kentor Company shapes financial strategy into a rare ecosystem of intellectual capital, unparalleled service, and extensive relationships, and their brand is ready to mature along with them. All of the content is there, and the message has been fine-tuned and crafted. This fresh branding approach will ensure that this logo and brand stand tall with those of your peers and that your site is able to address the more emotion-driven, compelling parts of your messaging to prospects on the hunt for their only financial strategist.
The Fine Print
It is important for us to rebrand Kentor Company with a modernized look that fits the firm’s commitment, patience, and unparalleled knowledge and service. The logo, collateral, and website should convey a maturity on par with the client experience.
Prospective clients will look for a firm that demonstrates value and encourages trust. By updating the Kentor Company brand, potential clients need to recognize this trust before they even schedule their first consultation. This contemporary presence will be communicated via:
- Modern and identifiable logo — text only (or mark with KC), sans-serif font
- Site imagery that is warm, connected to content, and inviting but still has a bold, inquisitive feel
- Clean, sophisticated collateral (email signatures, social media profile photos, letterhead, business cards, envelopes)
- Contemporary mobile-first website design with emphasis on key phrases and a navigation that guides you through the outlined experience
